Platinum #332: Hello Kitty To Issho! Block Crash V

Hey there!

Well, never judge a book by its cover. Just because it’s Hello Kitty doesn’t mean that this brick breaker is bad – or easy.

What is the game all about?
Hello Kitty To Issho! Block Crash V is one of the best brick breaker games I’ve played in my whole life. Sadly, it has only been released for PS Vita in Japan.
This game has more than 100 levels with a great variety. There are “standard” levels with the usual square shaped bricks, but there are also levels with circle or elliptical bricks. Furthermore, there are dark levels, in which you don’t see much, and golf levels, in which you have shot the ball into a whole. Every fifth level is a boss fight.
Your goal is to complete each level as fast as possible to reach a good ranking. In some levels, power-ups will help you to do this.
After beating all easy, medium and hard levels, which are all available right from the start, additional challenges levels will be unlocked. Some of them can be really tough.
So, now you might ask: “What has this all to do with Hello Kitty?”. Well, not much except that Hello Kitty can be seen in the background of each level.
This is a very good game and it’s a shame that it hasn’t received a western release.

What about trophies?
For the Platinum Trophy, you must beat each level with a ranking of A or higher as well as reaching 100 S ranks in total. There are also a lot of other thing to do like beating the game with a small board, playing for 5 hours or losing the ball 500 times.
For further details, check out this guide from playstationtrophies.com.

Where can I get this game?
Hello Kitty To Issho! Block Crash V can be found in the JP PSN store. You have to search for ハローキティといっしょ! ブロッククラッシュV to be able to find it.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.comor at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
As it is a Vita game, it’s recommended to buy it physical. For this, you can try your luck at play-asia.comor at solarisjapan.com.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
Even though it’s a good game, I wouldn’t recommend this as it is expensive and hard to get.

After a very confusing beginning, you’re trapped inside this company and you must find a way out. For this, must collect items and solve puzzles. Furthermore, you will learn more about the backstory and the main story will become clearer. Until drugs become involved – from then on, it’s hard to determine what’s real and what’s just an imagination. The game is very dark and the flashlight will become your best friend. Although it takes a while until you find it. As mentioned, this game also contains survival horror elements. Later in the game you encounter some enemies and you must f...
