Platinum #261+262: MotorStorm RC (PS3 & Vita)

Hey there!

This game has been in my backlog long enough. It wasn’t the easiest Platinum but hey, the second one was for free! :-)

What is the game all about?
MotorStorm RC is an arcade racer, which has already been released for PS3 and Vita back in 2012. It’s not a typical racing game in which you’re driving powerful cars. Instead, you’re in control of RC cars. You might get used to the controls first, as you don’t have the typical cockpit or behind-the-car views. You’re watching your car from a fixed position, like you do it in real life when playing with an RC car.
There are a lot of different tracks and events and the difficulty increases from race to race. At the beginning, you might win some events on first try but later in the game you’ll need various tries to get the gold medal, especially in the time trials. The laps might be short but you’ll need a lot of practice to find the fastest route.
Surprisingly, the game seems to be easier on Vita than on PS3. You have much better control of your car and thus, it’s recommended to play the game on Vita.

What about trophies?
The game hasn’t that much trophies. Your focus is getting all 3 medals in each event and beating the overall time of 40:00 minutes. Doing this will unlock you most of the trophies. The rest can be done in playground or by replaying specific tracks.
As mentioned in this guidefrom playstationtrophies.org, get rid of the multiplayer trophies first.
After you’re done with one version, simply load the game on the other system at all trophies will auto-pop. This means, with MotorStrom RC you can get 2 Platinum Trophies without playing the game a second time.

Where can I get this game?
MotorStorm RC is available digital only and can be found in every PSN store. If you buy the PS3 version, you’ll get the Vita version for free.
If you need PSN cards, you can buy them at play-asia.comor at scdkey.com. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
It’s not the easiest racing game but thanks to auto-popping, you can get a second Platinum Trophy without additional effort. Buy the complete edition for PS3 when it’s on sale, it includes both DLCs and the Vita version.

Hey there! A short and easy pixel-art game with a few survival elements. Very enjoyable! What is the game all about? The Long Reach is a 2D side-scrolling adventure / point and click game mixed with a few survival horror elements. The pixel-art is very appealing and retro-fans will love this game. Most of the time you’re in control of Stuart, who acts as a guinea pig for a company called General Education. After a very confusing beginning, you’re trapped inside this company and you must find a way out. For this, must collect items and solve puzzles. Furthermore, you will learn more about the backstory and the main story will become clearer. Until drugs become involved – from then on, it’s hard to determine what’s real and what’s just an imagination. The game is very dark and the flashlight will become your best friend. Although it takes a while until you find it. As mentioned, this game also contains survival horror elements. Later in the game you encounter some enemies and you must f...

Platinum #249+250: Suicide Guy (NA & EU)

Hey there! Another easy double platinum. :-) What is the game all about? Suicide Guy is an adventure game. You take control of a character who fell asleep on his couch while watching TV. In his dreams, he realizes that the bottle of beer he was holding in his hands is falling to the floor. Now he needs to wake up quickly to save his beloved beer. Every dream takes place in another location and has his own unique puzzle to solve. Some of them are quite challenging and it might take a while to figure out the correct solution. What about trophies? To unlock the Platinum Trophy, you must complete all levels and find every collectible in the game (1 per level). Don’t worry if you miss a collectible, there’s chapter select and you can replay each level as soon as you’ve beaten it. As mentioned ...

Injustice 2: Legendary Edition

Injustice 2 is a fighting video game based upon the DC Universe. It was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game was initially released in May 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; a Microsoft Windows version was released later in November 2017. An expanded version of the game, titled Injustice 2: Legendary Edition, was released in March 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Similar to the previous installment, a companion mobile app was released for Android and iOS devices. A prequel comic book series of the same name, written by Tom Taylor, was also released beginning in April 2017. The core gameplay remains similar to its predecessor, albeit with minor adjustments to returning game mechanics. Injustice 2 introduces a new feature called the Gear System, a loot-dropping system that rewards players with costume pieces a...
