Platinum #204: CROSS†CHANNEL ~For all people~ (PS3 Version)

Hey there!

After Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom I spend a few days in completing Driveclub. Driveclub was my first Platinum Trophy ever but I never found the time to finish the DLCs. Finally, it’s done and I could return to my Visual Novel backlog.

What is the game all about?
CROSS†CHANNEL For all people is like any other Visual Novel. And just like in any other Visual Novel, I was simply skipping through the game. Thus, I can’t say much about the story. The only thing I’ve noticed is that you’re a girl who seems to be trapped in some kind of time warp. You relive the same day over and over again.

What about trophies?
The game offers a trophy lists which is typically for Visual Novels. There are a lot of trophies which are based on the decision you make and, of course, there are also trophies for getting 100% music / scene / album and for reaching the true end. What’s different is that there is this one super-annoying trophy for which you must press O 10,000 times. This means that you just can’t simply skip through the game. You must skip a lot text manually! Only after this has been done you can let the game run on auto-mode. 10,000 clicks are a lot and if you want to do yourself a favor, you get yourself a turbo controller. With such a controller, you can simply hold down O instead of repeatedly pressing it. If you’re playing the Vita version, which has its own stack, you’re screwed. There’s no way around than pressing 10,000 times manually.
There’s a great guide on ps3imports.com, which will help you a lot in beating this game in the most efficient way. The only thing you need to consider when using a turbo controller is, that the 10,000 clicks trophy will unlock much earlier than mentioned in this guide.

Where can I get this game?
The easier and faster way to get the PS3 version is the Japanese PSN Store. For this you need a Japanese account and 6,480 Yen. If you don’t know how to set-up a Japanese account, watch out this video by my buddy IBadDriverI. Everything is explained in detail. If you need Japanese PSN cards, you can buy them here. There you get digital codes, which will be send to you via e-mail within minutes.
In case you prefer physical over digital versions, you can buy this game at play-asia.comor solarisjapan.com. The game is cheaper there but you must consider transport costs and import taxes from Japan to the country you live in.

As a trophy hunter, should I get this game?
There are way easier Visual Novels for PS3 out there (e.g. Steins;Gate, マブラヴphotonflowers*…). I’d recommend getting one of these games instead of CROSS†CHANNEL For all people. Not only because of the 10,000 clicks but also because of the length of this game. You might end up somewhere at 4-5 hours.

Yours,
AvengedEvil

Platinum #315+316: The Long Reach (PS4 NA & EU)

Hey there! A short and easy pixel-art game with a few survival elements. Very enjoyable! What is the game all about? The Long Reach is a 2D side-scrolling adventure / point and click game mixed with a few survival horror elements. The pixel-art is very appealing and retro-fans will love this game. Most of the time you’re in control of Stuart, who acts as a guinea pig for a company called General Education. After a very confusing beginning, you’re trapped inside this company and you must find a way out. For this, must collect items and solve puzzles. Furthermore, you will learn more about the backstory and the main story will become clearer. Until drugs become involved – from then on, it’s hard to determine what’s real and what’s just an imagination. The game is very dark and the flashlight will become your best friend. Although it takes a while until you find it. As mentioned, this game also contains survival horror elements. Later in the game you encounter some enemies and you must f...
