Platinum #194: Tachyon Project (PS4 Version)

Hey there!

First things first: Currently there are 6 different trophy lists for Tachyon Project. Only the 2 limited physical releases (one for PS4 and one for Vita) have trophy lists which includes Platinum Trophies. The other 4 lists are only 100% games.

The limited physical PS4 version of “Tachyon Project” is exclusively available at play-asia.com. As of today, they still have a few copies left. If they don’t have it anymore, or you don’t want to import the game, you can try your luck on eBay.

I was lucky and got my copy for roughly 25€ via play-asia.com. This collectors box, which is limited to 2000 pieces worldwide, includes the game, the soundtrack, a nice manual and a numbered certificate. This is really a good deal, if you consider the low price. Check out the video by my friend IBadDriverI below, if you want to see more.

“Tachyon Project” is a nice and easy Shoot ‘Em Up. Even a shmup noob like me can complete this game within a few hours. There are 10 different levels, consisting of several waves, to beat. After every level, you’ll advance with the story and you’ll encounter new enemies, including 4 bosses. The graphics are good and the soundtrack fits perfectly to the game. The controls are brilliant. I haven’t had any aiming issues.

Most of the trophies are story related or will unlock naturally while progressing through the game. There are only a few trophies which are related to specific weapons, which means that there’s nearly no grinding / clean-up necessary after beating level 10.

All in all, I must say that I was really surprised by this game and that the 25€ were well spend. Not only I got an easy “limited” Platinum Trophy, I also got a very nice collectors box of a game that I truly enjoyed. I think this is a perfect game for trophy hunters as well as collectors.

Yours,
AvengedEvil

Hey there! A short and easy pixel-art game with a few survival elements. Very enjoyable! What is the game all about? The Long Reach is a 2D side-scrolling adventure / point and click game mixed with a few survival horror elements. The pixel-art is very appealing and retro-fans will love this game. Most of the time you’re in control of Stuart, who acts as a guinea pig for a company called General Education. After a very confusing beginning, you’re trapped inside this company and you must find a way out. For this, must collect items and solve puzzles. Furthermore, you will learn more about the backstory and the main story will become clearer. Until drugs become involved – from then on, it’s hard to determine what’s real and what’s just an imagination. The game is very dark and the flashlight will become your best friend. Although it takes a while until you find it. As mentioned, this game also contains survival horror elements. Later in the game you encounter some enemies and you must f...
