Platinum #193: Burly Men At Sea

Hey there!

I’m very sorry, I haven’t found any time the last days to update my blog but I’ll promise to post more frequently again from now on. As you can see on my profile (top of the screen) I’ve already over 200 Platinum Trophies. This means my posts are a little bit behind but I’ll try to catch up as soon as possible.

Now let’s come to “Burly Men At Sea”. It is a really nice adventure, which shows perfectly that you don’t need high-end graphics or special effects to deliver a good product. In fact, this game is as minimalistic as it can be. Not only in terms of graphics, also in terms of controls. You only need one analog stick and two buttons to play it.

The story is story driven and depends highly on the choices you make. You take control of a group of 3 burly seamen, who got engulfed by a whale. Your task is now to bring them home safely. There are several different ways to do so. The path the 3 seamen take depends on the choices you make.

In terms of trophies this game is very simple. All you need to do is reach all endings to unlock the Platinum Trophy of this game. Don’t worry, the playthroughs are very short and the game can be completed within a couple of hours, if you know what you’re doing. I’d suggest to follow the video walkthrough by IBadDriverI at the end of this blog, if you want to complete the game quickly.

“Burly Men At Sea” is available for 9.99€ as cross-buy (PS4 and Vita) in the PSN store. Unfortunately, there’s only one stack for this game. So, you can play it on PS4 and Vita but you’ll only be able to unlock this Platinum Trophy once. Alternatively, you could also buy the Maestro Beard Edition for 14.99€, which includes the game (PS4 and Vita) as well as the soundtrack and an avatar.

Yours,
AvengedEvil

Most of the time you’re in control of Stuart, who acts as a guinea pig for a company called General Education. After a very confusing beginning, you’re trapped inside this company and you must find a way out. For this, must collect items and solve puzzles. Furthermore, you will learn more about the backstory and the main story will become clearer. Until drugs become involved – from then on, it’s hard to determine what’s real and what’s just an imagination. The game is very dark and the flashlight will become your best friend. Although it takes a while until you find it. As mentioned, this game also contains survival horror elements. Later in the game you encounter some enemies and you must f...
